Industrial chain is becoming more mature

With Apple, Xiaomi and other manufacturers have joined the WPC wireless charging camp, the new iPhone8, iPhoneX series officially support wireless charging, the future trend of wireless charging should not be underestimated. Market participants believe that 2018 will be the first year of the domestic wireless charging market. Many leading manufacturers at home and abroad are leading the trend, changes in consumer lifestyles, maturing wireless charging technology, and related corporate capital investment. These four factors will jointly detonate the huge market of wireless charging.

Market needs to start

The wireless charging sector performed strongly last Friday, Xinwei Communications rose 6.89%, Heli Energy Thailand rose 6.60%, and Lixin Precision rose 4.69%. The wind wireless charging index also ended in a six-game losing streak, ranking second in the concept gains with 2.66% gains throughout the day.

Wireless charging includes the transmitting end and the receiving end, and the industrial chain mainly includes several links such as the design of the program, power supply chips, magnetic materials, transmission coils, and module manufacturing. Since the transmission coil needs to be built in the terminal, there is a high requirement for low loss and thinning, and as the iPhone is converted from a FPC to a dense coil, the coil scheme is expected to become mainstream. At present, the wireless charging industry chain is gradually mature and the division of labor is increasingly clear.

Among domestic listed companies, Helitech is one of the few companies that has deployed wireless charging in advance and has large-scale production capacity. Based on a comprehensive understanding of the core resources of wireless charging technology and a full range of solutions, the company has completed related investment plans and preparations.

At present, the gradual convergence of wireless charging standards and the gradual maturity of wireless charging technology, Samsung, Apple's flagship level has launched a wireless charging function. Everbright Securities analyst Yang Minghui believes that the mobile phone wireless charging industry will usher in an inflection point. According to IHS, the global wireless charging market will grow from 1.7 billion U.S. dollars in 2015 to 15 billion U.S. dollars in 2024, with a compound annual growth rate of 27%.

The wireless charging penetration rate has been further enhanced and domestic brands are expected to follow suit. At the end of 2017, the M7plus announced by Jin Li joined the wireless fast charging function, and the charging power is as high as 10W. Yang Minghui expects that Huawei, VOVO, OPPO and other domestic brands will closely follow the pace of Apple's innovation and gradually add wireless charging capabilities to the next-generation flagship.

Application acceleration landing

Huang Yu, an analyst in the electronics industry at CSC, stated that the effect of the off-season in the first quarter was significant under the mobile phone supply chain inventory adjustment and new machine deferred interference. In the third and sixth month, Huawei P11, OPPO R13, VIVOX20s, and Xiaomi 7 series machines Type is expected to be released one after another. Looking at the whole year, domestic mobile phones are catching up with innovations and expanding in emerging markets. In the second half of the year, Apple’s coverage of new machines at different price points is expected to stimulate demand. At present, the stock price performance has already reflected the expected short-term sales insignificantly, and then it is not necessary to be too pessimistic about the mobile phone industry chain.

Not only mobile phones but wireless charging scenes represented by consumer electronics have now been formed. IKEA's desk lamp base, Starbucks bar, and family convenience store all charge wireless phones. According to AppleInsider, at the end of 2017, Apple released a supporting document listing car brands that provide wireless chargers compatible with the iPhone 8, including Audi, BMW, Chrysler, Ford, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, and Citroen. Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo. In addition, the latest ES8 released by Weilai Automobile is also equipped with the WPCQi wireless charging function, which can be used to charge Apple, Samsung and other flagship models.

In addition, the National Standardization Committee recently issued the "Special Requirements for Commercial Vehicle Applications for Wireless Charging Systems for Electric Vehicles", "Interoperability and Testing of Wireless Charging Systems for Electric Vehicles," "General Requirements for High-Power Charging Systems for Electric Buses," and Radio Disturbance Characteristics for Electric Vehicles and Hybrid Vehicles. To protect the limits and measurement methods of the receivers outside the vehicle, four new energy automotive industry plans to establish national standards.

Yang Minghui believes that as terminal brand manufacturers go ahead, wireless charging is a general trend and it is recommended to lay out related companies in advance.
