After the three Apple iPhones, the iPhoneX/iPhone8/iPhone 8 Plus, all used to support wireless charging in 2017, the wireless charging market officially opened. Samsung's, Sony's, and Nokia's latest flagship models released on the MWC 2018 are all equipped with wireless charging technology. Wireless charging has already become the standard equipment for the new flagship mobile phone, becoming the focus of the smartphone market after the 5G network and artificial intelligence this year.
The three new Apple iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus models are equipped with a wireless charging function that uses Qi wireless technology to achieve a maximum charging power of 7.5 watts. Samsung has promoted wireless charging from the Galaxy S6, and the recently launched Galaxy S9 and S9+ smart phones have integrated wireless charging capabilities. The upcoming millet 7 has media reports that it will also support wireless charging capabilities. It is expected that Huawei, VIVO, OPPO and other domestic brands will follow the pace of wireless charging, adding wireless charging capabilities to the next-generation flagships.
According to the IHS agency, 325 million wireless charging products were born in the past year. It is predicted that the global wireless charging market will grow from 300 million U.S. dollars in 2013 to 6 billion U.S. dollars in 2018 and will maintain rapid growth in the next 10 years. IHS also said that in 2018, the wireless charging market will fully explode and usher in the golden development period.
